Elite Booker vs Treatwell
A Treatwell comparison should separate new-client discovery from repeat appointments. If the marketplace brings useful new business, assess that value as well as the fees; if you mostly serve existing clients, model that booking mix separately.

Costs and practical differences
Each row compares the same thing on both platforms, with a link to the competitor’s own published terms.
| Consideration | Elite Booker | Treatwell |
|---|
| Subscription and staff | Basic is £0 a month. Professional and Enterprise are flat monthly prices, not per team member, and every plan includes unlimited staff. | Freelancer and Advanced plans are listed; Advanced includes unlimited staff. Request the applicable monthly quote rather than treating 'Start for free' as a permanent free plan. Official Treatwell source for subscription and staff |
|---|
| Marketplace commission | No commission on any booking. On Basic, clients pay a £0.99 booking fee when they pay online; Professional and Enterprise have no booking fee. | The UK FAQ quotes 35% for first bookings by marketplace-introduced new clients. Plan notes qualify new-client commission by location. Repeat bookings: 0% commission. VAT applies. Official Treatwell source for marketplace commission |
|---|
| Online prepayments | Take a deposit, full payment online, or payment in the salon. Stripe pays online payments into your own Stripe account and charges its standard card fees. | Online prepayments carry a listed 2.5% processing fee plus VAT. Distinguish this from marketplace commission. Official Treatwell source for online prepayments |
|---|
| Appointment messages | Email confirmations and reminders on every plan. SMS is an optional paid add-on; replies to texts are not handled in Elite Booker. | The published plan details include unlimited client email notifications and reminders. Confirm SMS access and terms separately if you require text messages. Official Treatwell source for appointment messages |
|---|
| Moving records | There is no automatic import from another system. During your personal setup we add your services, prices and durations with you and set your availability. | Treatwell describes assisted import of basic data and technical notes into its software. That is not a promise of a complete export to another provider; confirm the exit process. Official Treatwell source for moving records |

Ask whether you need discovery, diary tools or both
Compare the role each service plays in attracting clients and running the diary. Before replacing an acquisition channel, look at your own first-visit and repeat-visit records. Confirm the offered rate for your location and account instead of applying one headline percentage to all revenue.
Before moving from Treatwell
- Request written confirmation of notice periods, outstanding charges and how to obtain your records. Keep a separate list of prepaid appointments and any balances that need reconciling.
- Arrange a test of the replacement diary and agree how existing marketplace appointments will be managed. Confirm the new booking link, client contact process and reminder arrangements before a changeover date.
Keep your current diary running until your Elite Booker booking page is ready and tested, then switch your booking link.
Questions before you choose
Does zero repeat-booking commission mean there are no other costs?
No. Subscription and payment-processing costs are separate from acquisition commission. Ask for a complete quote covering your booking sources and payment methods.
Can I move every record to Elite Booker automatically?
No. There is no automatic import. We add your services, prices and durations with you during personal setup, and you can keep your current diary running until you switch your booking link.
Use the same trial checklist on both platforms
A headline price cannot tell you whether a system fits your salon. Record these answers for your current provider and Elite Booker before changing your booking link.
Price the same working month
Count bookable staff, direct and marketplace bookings, card transactions and reminder messages. Ask for a written total separating subscription, tax, payment charges, acquisition fees and optional extras.
Try your most demanding appointment
Choose a service with the staff, duration and payment arrangement you actually need. Look at the customer journey and the diary entry it creates: processing time, bundles and deposits work differently from one platform to the next.
Plan what will move
List client contact records, future appointments, paid deposits, gift balances and consent history separately. Elite Booker has no automatic import, so we set up your services, prices and availability with you and you decide how to bring clients across.
Choose a safe changeover point
Reconcile upcoming bookings and money already paid before replacing website or social booking links. Assign someone to check both diaries during the transition and tell clients how to contact you.
